New for 2026, Strings & Things is moving to Lighthouse Marine Park (811 Marine Dr. in Point Roberts, Washington).

Coming From Canada?

If you don't want to drive, Green Cab is available for cross-border transportation between Greater Vancouver and Point Roberts at deltataxi.com.

If you'd like to drive to the festival, and would like to enjoy some drinks, myddride.com can drive you and your passengers home safely in your own car! They are the #1 trusted designated driving service in Greater Vancouver and can pick you up from the festival. Book ahead to guarantee a ride.

Coming From The USA?

If driving, you’ll need to go through Canada then back into the USA to get to Point Roberts.

If flying, fly into Canada to the YVR Vancouver airport, then either rent a car or take a cab through deltataxi.com to get to Point Roberts (35min drive).

Accessing Point Roberts via mainland USA without crossing a border is only possible via chartered flight (through San Juan Airlines) or by boat (see pointrobertsmarina.com/moorage to reserve moorage).

at the festival

festival grounds

Strings & Things is a family-friendly event, and the festival field is split into two sections: one half is strictly 21+ and includes our VIP area. The other half is all ages. Alcohol can only be purchased and consumed in the 21 and over area.

Bringing alcohol on site is strictly prohibited, as this is a permitted event. Coolers may be searched.

We'll have a large water station called the "Water Monster", and canned water and other refreshments will be on sale.

sustainability

We're on a new journey to make our festival as green as possible starting this year with reusable aluminum drink cups, water refill stations, and no single use plastics. We'll have a "Green Team" of volunteers cleaning as we go, and kindly ask that attendees aim to "leave no trace" so we can keep our park beautiful and enjoy this stunning venue again in the future!

accessibility

If you need accessibility accommodations—including parking or wheelchair‑accessible restrooms—please pre‑register by emailing your name, phone number, and the serial number and expiration date of your accessible parking placard to stringsandthingsmusicfestival@gmail.com.

A limited number of accessible parking spaces will be reserved in the Lighthouse Park lot. To ensure that wheelchair‑accessible restrooms remain available for those who need them, wristbands will be issued only to pre‑registered guests.

Lighthouse Park is a new venue for us. Some areas have uneven terrain, so volunteers will be available to assist with entry, exit, and finding you a comfortable viewing spot.

umbrella & shade structure rules

As a condition of our permit, nothing may be staked or anchored into the ground at Lighthouse Park. This includes tents, canopies, shade structures, and umbrellas.

  • Shade structures and canopies are not permitted.

  • Umbrellas are allowed only if they are secured with weights. Water weight bases can be filled at our water stations.

  • Stakes, spikes, or any ground‑penetrating anchors are strictly prohibited.

These rules help protect the park’s sensitive terrain and ensure we remain in compliance with our event permit.

If you are unfamiliar with their work, we encourage you to visit their website or attend their next meeting. This is an amazing group of purpose and service-driven people!
